The following are questions we often receive about LFE’s unique new College Planning System. Click on the white box below the question to view the answer.
How is the CAP System different from other college planning tools?
The focus of existing College Planning tools is College: Which one to pick, how to obtain the best price, and how tomaximize Financial Aid.
While CAP links to many of the same tools, the primary objective of CAP is to provide 58 key questions that every college student needs to answer before committing to a specific school. This step-by-step education covers:
1) The latest post-COVID college traps to avoid 2) 58 essential questions millions fail to ask 3) ‘Insider secrets’ colleges don’t want you to know 4) How to determine your personal college ROI & what to do if the numbers don’t work 5) Exciting new alternatives when a 4-year college is not the best solution 6) Mistakes to avoid that add tens of thousands to the cost of college 7) The ultimate goal: A great job offer!
Who can benefit from the CAP System?
This ‘late stage’ College Planning System will benefit anyone – or those with a family member – who may be considering a 2- or 4-year college within the next 36 months. It’s also designed for those who may be looking for alternative strategies to college.
Does my student really need to answer 58 questions?
No. Students only complete the questions that are relevant to them. However, if you are a parent or grandparent supporting their college decisions financially, you’ll definitely want them to complete all of the applicable questions prior to spending a dime on college!
When is the best time to complete the CAP System?
PRIOR to college visits, comparing Financial Aid packages, registering for a school … and definitely before completing FAFSA. Over 70% of CAP users change direction or switch colleges after creating their own College Action Plan.
What are benefits of CAP’s '12-Point Guide' for Parents?
This essential process helps parents learn how to avoid the latest traps, discuss financial expectations with students, take the ‘emotions’ out of College Planning, minimize future debt obligations, and protect their retirement security.
It is recommended that you discuss each of these ‘What If’ questions with your advisor. If you do not have an advisor, contact LFE for one that is familiar with the CAP System, as well as informed retirement planning strategies.
What are benefits of CAP’s 5-Step ‘College Action Plan’ for Students?
As students answer essential questions when completing their own College Action Plan, they will master specific strategies to prevent costly mistakes, save thousands, and graduate quicker … all with the goal of graduating with less student loan debt! Their Plan also becomes a Guide throughout their academic life as they plan to be better prepared for a great job offer upon graduation.
How much time does it take?
The 12-Point Guide for Parents: These critical ‘What If’ questions generally only take one to two hours to evaluate and answer.
The College Action Plan: Students are able to answer relevant questions throughout their Plan in roughly 5 to 10 hours. Students who take longer generally alter their original goals as they learn exciting new strategies they hadn’t previously explored.
Does the CAP System include one-on-one help or coaching?
No. CAP is a turn-key digital 5-Step System: The first step in your College Planning journey. As an educational development firm, the LFE Institute does not provide one-on-one coaching, but can refer you to highly-qualified, experienced Advisors or College Planners.
Is this a monthly subscription or one-time fee?
It’s an annual subscription that gives you access, news, and updates for 12 months. The college landscape continues to evolve in today’s post-COVID environment, so you’ll want to periodically come back throughout the year for all the latest information.
Will I be charged automatically after 12 months if I don’t cancel?
No. You will be invited to renew after one year if you want to stay current on all the latest trends and traps so you can update your Plan as circumstances change.
What other products will you try to sell me?
None! The LFE Institute is an unbiased Financial Wellness Education firm. The only service we provide is College Planning Education.
Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
Absolutely. You have 48 hours to cancel your Subscription for a full refund.
